Massimo NALBANDIAN was born in Addis Abeba in a family of excellent musicians including his grandfather Kevork Nalbandian and his uncle Nerses Nalbandian.
Still child his father Jirair Nalbandian introduced him to the basics of the violin permitting his admission in the class of violin at Santa Cecilia Conservatory in Rome followed by the study of classic guitar.
He also studied lute, Renaissance music, Flamenco and jazz guitar. Interested in contemporary Music he carried out many first performances of contemporary works is winner of National and International Competitions he is regularly invited as jury member.
His capability of stylistic diversification, played with a fascinating fantasy and accompanied by a great sound color’s control are among his most appreciated qualities.
He lives in Modena and is classical guitar Professor at “Giovanni Battista Martini” Conservatory in Bologna
