Unmissable concert ‘Andrea Griminelli plays Morricone’, which kicks off our partnership with the prestigious Ashenafi Kebede Performing Arts Centre, just opened at Addis Ababa University.
The show will take you on an ideal journey into the evocative world of Music and Cinema through the memorable soundtracks written by legendary composer Ennio Morricone for the films ‘The Good, the Bad, the Ugly’, ‘Once Upon a Time in the West’, ‘Once Upon a Time in America’, ‘Mission’, ‘Nuovo Cinema Paradiso’, ‘The Legend of the Pianist on the Ocean’, ‘Le Professionnel’, ‘The Untouchables’ and other famous films. A tribute to the great artist of our time who has won two Academy Awards, three Grammy Awards, sold over 70 million records worldwide and to whom a star has been dedicated on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
The star of the event is an exceptional testimonial, the famous Grammy-winning flautist Andrea Griminelli, who will be accompanied by the brilliant pianist Amedeo Salvato. Maestro Griminelli has played with the most acclaimed artists of our time, ranging from Ennio Morricone and Luciano Pavarotti to Sting and Elton John, performing in prestigious venues such as Teatro alla Scala in Milan, Carnegie Hall and Madison Square Garden in New York or Hyde Park in London.

The project is promoted in cooperation with the General Directorate for Entertainment of the Ministry of Culture, the Italian Embassy and CIDIM – Comitato Italiano Nazionale Musica.
