Yared Olivelli’s art exhibition “So Close, Yet So Far” kicks off celebrating, in Ethiopia, the 20th Italian Contemporary Art Day (Worldwide 6-12.10.2024).
The underlying theme of this edition is accessibility, conceived in a broad way as the breaking down of cultural, intellectual, sensorial and architectural barriers, to ensure full access to contemporary culture.
Through this solo exhibition, the well-known artist, who unites our two cultures, explores the new city of Addis Ababa and its architectural barriers. Yared Olivelli masterfully captures, with his unique artistic style, the experiences of several generations who are facing recent urban developments and the challenges that awaits us in the future.
