ITALIAN FASHION DAYS IN ETHIOPIA: EXHIBITION “DIVA! ITALIAN GLAMOUR IN FASHION JEWELLERY”

1

On January 24th S. E. Ambassador Agostino Palese kicked off, with the opening of the exhibition “DIVA! Italian Glamour in Fashion Jewellery”, the first edition of the Italian Fashion Days in Ethiopia , organized by the Italian Embassy and the IIC of Addis Ababa.

Promoted by the Farnesina together with POLI.design and curated by Prof.ssa Alba Cappellieri, the exhibition tells the story of the Italian fashion jewel, with over 200 pieces born from the encounter between precious materials and the talent of great designers (such as Armani, dolce&gabbana, Valentino or Versace, to name but a few) but also jewelers and independent designers, emphasizing that quality does not derive only from the preciousness of the materials, but also from the intangible value of craftsmanship and innovation.

An engaging exhibition that has fascinated with its extraordinary creations the many visitors who flocked, immersing them in the wonderful world of fashion and revealing the rich cultural heritage of Italy from the 50s to today.
The exhibition will be open until February 12th  2024.

  • Organized by: Ambasciata d'Italia-IIC Addis Abeba
  • In collaboration with: POLI.design
