ITALIAN NATIONAL SPACE DAY 2022

The inter-ministerial Committee for space and aerospace-related policies (COMINT) in 2021, has approved the establishment of a “National Space Day” to be celebrated on December 16, the day following the date of the first launch of the Italian satellite, the San Marco 1.

The Day aims to inform citizens about space activities and the results that the Space sector offers to the country and citizens as well as to relaunch the image of Italy as a country with a high rate of innovation towards a foreign public. Particularly enhancing the excellence and capacity of research, and the Italian space industry with important impact in terms of exports on the most important reference markets.
