European Film Festival 2022 continues in Ethiopia with the Italian movie “My Brother Chases Dinosaurs”, winner of the European Film Academy Young Audience Award and the David di Donatello Giovani Award (2020)
The movie selected by the Embassy of Italy and the Italian Cultural Institute for this edition of the EFF is based on the bestseller by the young writer Giacomo Mazzariol (Einaudi Stile Libero). Directed by Stefano Cipani and featuring Alessandro Gassmann, Isabella Ragonese and Rossy De Palma, it is a heart touching comedy which narrates disability with irony and freshness. The true story of Jack and Giò is that of the brothers Giacomo and Giovanni Mazzariol: the family is shocked by the arrival of a very special son, Giò, suffering from Down syndrome. Initially Jack could not accept the disability of his younger brother, but over time he realized how unique and special he is: Giò is a true rebel, he lives in the simplicity that creates beauty and gives it to anyone, he is direct, brilliant, unpredictable and unfiltered.
