On the occasion of the XXI edition of the Week of the Italian Language in the World (18-24 October), under the High Patronage of the President of the Italian Republic, which this year is dedicated to Dante Alighieri to celebrate the 700th anniversary of his death, the Italian Cultural Institute of Addis Ababa, in collaboration with the Embassy of Italy and numerous important Italian and Ethiopian institutions, has organized a rich program of events. It ranges from Dante's readings and the presentations of the first translations into Amharic language to concerts and exhibitions, from conferences and theatrical performances to film projections and the creation of the Italo-Ethiopian mural "Dante 700" etc.
