Design & sustainable architecture – WEBINAR

The Italian Cultural Institute in Addis Ababa presents the webinar “Innovating design in sustainable architecture – The case of the Centre of excellence for Pediatric Surgery at Lake Victoria and other experiences in Africa”, taking place on Tuesday 15th December at 04:30 p.m. EAT.

The webinar will host the main lecture by Arch. Raul Pantaleo, co-founder of TAMassociati Studio in Venice, specialized in socially oriented projects in critical areas, and will focus on sustainable architecture through some key cases in Africa, starting from the Children’s Surgical Hospital in Uganda, designed by TAMassociati with Renzo Piano Building Workshop with the use of traditional techniques matched with the most innovative technologies.

Moderator Arch. Fasil Giorgis, Chair of Conservation of Urban & Architectural Heritage, Ethiopian Institute of Architecture Building Construction & City Development (EiABC), will introduce a round table with professors and representatives from AASTU College of Architecture and Civil engineering, the Urban Center and Arba Minch University Architecture department.
