XXIII Italian Language Week in the World

‘Italian and sustainability’
The Settimana della Lingua Italiana nel Mondo (Italian Language Week in the World) is an initiative for the promotion of the Italian language implemented by the cultural and diplomatic network of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation under the High Patronage of the President of the Republic. Organised in collaboration with our main partners for language promotion (MiC, MIM, MUR, CePeLL, Government of the Helvetic Confederation, Accademia della Crusca, CGIE, Italian-speaking Radio and Television Community, Istituto dell’Enciclopedia Italiana Treccani, RAI Italia and Società Dante Alighieri), the Week has become over time the most important event on a global scale dedicated to the Italian language.
The XXIII edition will take place from 16 to 22 October 2023 and will have as its theme ‘Italian and Sustainability’, with the aim of promoting in the world, through the Italian language, the culture of sustainability carried out by a country at the forefront of environmental issues.
