ITALIAN AND YOUNG PEOPLE: ‘Excuse me? I don’t follow you!’
The ‘Settimana della Lingua Italiana nel Mondo’ (Italian Language Week in the World) is an initiative for the promotion of the Italian language realised by the cultural and diplomatic network of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation under the High Patronage of the Presidency of the Republic. It celebrates the Italian language and creativity in the world every year.
The initiative, born in 2001 in collaboration with the Accademia della Crusca, takes place in the third week of October with the support of the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Universities and Research, the Swiss Government and the main partners in language promotion.
The 22nd edition will take place from 17 to 23 October 2022 and will have as its theme Italian and young people.
