On the occasion of the visit to Ethiopia, a delegation of the Senate Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, led by President Stefania Craxi and composed of Vice President Roberto Menia and Sen. Enrico Borghi, visited the compound that houses the Italian Cultural Institute and the Italian Schools in Addis Ababa.
During its visit to the IIC in Addis Abeba, the delegation, accompanied by the Italian Ambassador Agostino Palese, was welcomed by the Director of the Institute, Semen Kumurzhi, and his collaborators. The Director showed the delegation the G. Verdi Auditorium and the library and presented the cultural and linguistic activities of the Institute. In particular, the delegation appreciated several murals, created by the Institute to beautify the compound and give it a modern Italian artistic imprint, also with some augmented reality paintings that come alive on the smartphone screen, giving life to short funny videos.
