Matteo Spiazzi’s comedy “FAMILY ALBUM. A funny story of an unusual Ethiopian family” returns to the stage of the IIC of Addis Abeba. It is our original theater project created together with young local actors.
Often the family is the place where relationships are directly condensed beyond social conventions and each character lives his life leading to conflicts which often appear comical from an external perspective, despite being dramatic in themselves.
So, what happens within this Ethiopian family where three generations live together in an apartment? You will probably be able to recognize yourself in some familiar situations typical of the show in which verbal language is not used but some masks from the Commedia dell’Arte reinterpreted by the Italian director in a modern and innovative way.
