The Institute kick off the 1st edition of the Italian Fashion Days in Ethiopia that next weeks will showcase the love for beauty through numerous events (exhibitions of clothes and jewellery, presentations, screenings, workshops, masterclasses etc.) in different fields: jewellery, new young and sustainable fashion , design, fashion management, cinema, comics and street art.
Don’t miss the international premiere of the film “GIANNI VERSACE. THE EMPEROR OF DREAMS” (2023), an evocative docufiction by Mimmo Calopresti which will arrive in Italian movie theatres only at the end of January.
The film , between fiction and documentary, retraces the life of the great designer: from his youth in Reggio Calabria to his arrival in one of the world fashion capital, Milan, and his American adventure. With precious archive materials and interviews with Carla Bruni, Naomi Campbell, Elton John, Pedro Almodóvar and many other celebrities, the designer’s life revives on the big screen, telling the events of an “emperor of dreams”, who transformed top models into real stars and revolutionized world fashion.
The premiere screening will be presented by Mimmo Calopresti and will end with an Q&A session with the famous director.
