In the context of the Italian Film Festival, the IIC of Addis Ababa hosts the screening of the film “DISCO BOY” by Giacomo Abbruzzese which, presented at the Berlin Film Festival 2023 as the only Italian film in competition, won the Silver Bear for Best Artistic Contribution.

Synopsis
Aleksei is a young Belarusian who tries to reach France illegally. Once arrived, the only way to be regularized is to join the Foreign Legion. He will find himself fighting in the Niger delta where a young man, Jomo, in turn fights against the multinationals that exploit the territory. His sister Udoka would rather leave the country.
