The 2022 edition of “Giornata del Contemporaneo – Italian Contemporary Art” will take place in Italy on Saturday 8 October, with an extension abroad from Saturday 8 to Friday 14 October 2022. The initiative to promote contemporary art, curated by AMACI – Association of Italian Contemporary Art Museums is realized with the support of the Directorate-General for Contemporary Creativity of the Ministry of Culture, in collaboration with the Directorate-General for Public and Cultural Diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
The event will have ecology as its main theme: in particular, the relationship between nature / living beings and human action. Space will also be given to a reflection on environmental sustainability, with the aim of raising public awareness on the connections between art, science and nature, highlighting the need to rethink the art system in response to the global climate crisis.
