Daniel is known for his evocative landscape and figurative work. He was once named by CNN as the “Van Gogh of Africa…”
Daniel, at times described as an artist who inspired more puzzled expressions than praise, has flow of thoughts and perceiving things differently as his forte. His paintings might not fit any of the usual categories of Ethiopian fine art, traditional religious art, or the abstract impressionism currently the on mode, but the strokes and the enchanting colour schemes over the canvas bring him alive. He experiments with different mediums, colour composition and depth.
