Harmonica player Gianluca Littera who discovered the chromatic harmonica and dedicated his life to it, becoming one of the very few soloists in the world today to propose this instrument both in classical music and in jazz. He has collaborated with composers such as Maestro Ennio Morricone and has taken part in various orchestras as well as being active in the educational field.
Piano player Fabio Gorlier who for many years engaged in an intense concert activity that ranged from classical to modern music, with a particular fondness for jazz. He has played the piano worldwide and participated in numerous jazz events including Torino Jazz Festival and Europa Cantat in addition to performing in important theaters like the Fenice di Venezia or the “Agnelli” auditorium of Turin.
Harmonica concerts are a rare event, which is why this concert plans to unveil in a short but exhaustive path some secrets of this unique and fascinating instrument which is able to cross every kind of music, by blending in while maintaining character and personality at the same time. The program will start with the original composition for harmonica written by Gordon Jacob “Five Pieces” and continue with the sonata in three movements by Madeleine Dring, both authors of ‘ 900. These famous melodies will be a starting point for improvisation and musical dialogue on the part of the musicians.
