Within the framework of the 25th Week of the Italian Language in the World “Italofonia: Language Beyond Borders”, which will take place in Ethiopia from October 13th to 22nd, the Italian Cultural Institute in Addis Ababa has scheduled a conference by Konjit Seyoum, multidisciplinary artist, art curator, translator, Ethiopian representative at the First International Conference of Italofonia and curator of the Ethiopian Pavilion at the 2026 Venice Biennale, with the participation of artists Bekele Mekonnen (Director of the Modern Art Museum – Gebre Kristos Desta Center in Addis Ababa) and Tesfaye Urgessa (who represented Ethiopia at its first national participation at the 2024 Venice Biennale).
