The celebrations in Ethiopia for the 79th anniversary of Italian Republic Day were held at the historic Villa Italia gardens. More than three thousand participants attended, including a large representation of Government and Regional Authorities, the Diplomatic Corps, as well as the world of business and culture, in addition to the Italian community in Ethiopia. The Republic Day celebrations continued with two extraordinary concerts, the first by Italian star Serena Autieri and her band and the second by renowned Ethiopian artist Dawit Tsige and his band, in a fascinating blend of musical styles and rhythms, further testifying to the very strong cultural bond between Italy and Ethiopia.
