Our journey into the fantastic world of contemporary Cinema will conclude, on the occasion of Africa Day, with the premiere of the film “Fela, My Living God” by Daniele Vicari, an Italian cinematic tribute to African identity and unity.

Early 80s. A young movie director, Michele Avantario, meets the multifaceted and revolutionary Nigerian artist Fela Kuti, who relives in the film through the voice of Claudio Santamaria. From that moment on, the Italian filmmaker dedicates his life to making a movie starring Fela himself. He will never succeed, but he will discover something more important to him: a new idea of existence.

It is an opportunity to pay homage to Fela Kuti, an icon of African music, pan-Africanism and human rights activism, and to celebrate together the cultural richness of Africa.
