Second Edition of Made in Italy Day

Several events were held on April 15 in Addis Ababa to celebrate the Second Edition of Made in Italy Day.

In the morning, at the auditorium of the IIC, the first Italy-Ethiopia Economic Dialogue was organized by the Embassy, in collaboration with ICE, the participation of AICS, and articulated in several sessions with speeches by representatives of Eth. institutions including the Ministry of Mines, the Eth. Chamber of Commerce and the Eth. Investment Commission, with the participation of representatives of the Ethiopian and Italian business world.

The event also featured the presentation of the FABRICa exhibition, dedicated to the excellence of Made in Italy in the textile sector. A reception was then hosted at Villa Italia, during which the film “Il Nibbio,” dedicated to the memory of SISMI agent Nicola Calipari, was also presented.

The celebrations were concluded with a splendid jazz concert by renowned Italian saxophonist Francesco Cafiso, accompanied for the occasion by the father of “Ethio Jazz” Mulatu Astatke and his band. The event opened the II edition of “Italian-Ethiopian Jazz Dialogue” festival.
