Released in March in Italian cinemas, the film “The Negotiator” is soon arriving in Addis Ababa , and will be presented here by its delegated producer Francesco Scavelli, director Alessandro Tonda & actors Claudio Santamaria (in the leading role of Nicola Calipari) & Massimiliano Rossi (in the role of Tiber).
The film is a tribute to Nicola Calipari, a High-Ranking Officer of the SISMI (Italian Military Intelligence and Security Service), on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of his tragic death in March 2005 in Iraq, during an intelligence operation that led to the release of the journalist Giuliana Sgrena, kidnapped by a jihadist armed group.
