Meeting with Pier Luigi VERCESI (“Corriere della Sera”)

Pier Luigi VERCESI, writer and journalist, is a special correspondent for the “Corriere della Sera”.
After graduating in Economics and Commerce from the University of Pavia with a thesis on the economic development of West Africa (1984), he worked at UNIDO in Kinshasa (Zaire) and was, in 1986, one of the founders of the business newspaper “Italy Today”. He was a journalist for the newspaper “La Stampa”, where he also directed the weekly “Specchio della Stampa” (1989-2000), Deputy director of the newspaper “Il Tempo” (2004-2006) and Director of the monthly “Capital” (2006- 2007). In the RCS Group he also directed the weekly magazines of “Corriere della Sera”: “Io Donna” (2010-2012) and “Sette” (2012-2017).
In addition to his novel-essay “Dante’s Nose” (Neri Pozza, 2018), we recall numerous other successful books, including “History of American Journalism” (Mondadori, 2005), “He kills his pen more. Stories of Italy lived in the editorial offices of newspapers “(Sellerio, 2014),” Fiume. The adventure that changed Italy “(Neri Pozza, 2017),” The marine. He is Central Councilor of the Dante Alighieri Society.
