“I took up office in Ethiopia with great interest and sincere admiration for a nation so distant from Italy, but yet united to us by many cultural ties that we will continue to strengthen in close synergy with our colleagues at the Embassy, the Italian community and all the actors of the “Sistema Paese”.
The Italian Cultural Institute is open to more dynamic and intense collaborations with Italian and Ethiopian institutions, artists and students in order to face together the challenges and opportunities of the contemporary world. My collaborators and I are working to build new bridges between our two great cultures, implementing concrete and innovative partnership projects, under the banner of a sincere friendship with this country that is the custodian of an extraordinary historical and natural heritage and, at the same time, of such enormous potential in various sectors.
