In line with the theme of this edition of Africa Day dedicated to education (in the wake of the decision of the African Union to proclaim 2024 as the “Year of Education”), the Day was celebrated in Ethiopia with a series of training activities in the following fields:
– Architecture (masterclass “Method over Style” by the well-known architect Michele Rossi for students of the Addis Ababa University – EiABC);
– Design (workshop for young creatives curated by Vincenzo Salierno and Giulio Vinaccia at the Creative Hub Ethiopia);
– Art (artistic-educational workshops for the students of the Italian Nursery School of Addis Ababa).
The celebrations ended with a memorable event at the Ethiopian National Theatre, with the comedy “The Servant of Two Masters” by Carlo Goldoni, a joint project of the IIC Addis Abeba and the main cultural Institution in the country.
